Flat tire

For the first time in the eleven years I've owned the ol' 2010 Mazda 3, I finally got a flat tire. I discovered it when I went to leave for the Gilbert Health and Wellness Expo this morning. My tire air gauge light came on, and I figured I just needed some air. I was quickly disabused of that notion when I heard some scraping as I backed out of the garage.  I'm glad I had home-court advantage because the flat was empty (as you might expect). Luckily, I have a battery-powered air pump that aired it up enough to be drivable. I would have been in a towing situation if I had been out anywhere else.

I'm sitting at Big O Tire, less than two miles from my house and where I bought the tires. I remember it was their grand opening, and the big sign out front that caught my attention was "Buy 2, get 2 free!" As I recall, I got a pretty good deal, but I chuckled when the sign never came down. They'll let anyone have that deal!

This was not how I planned to spend a Saturday afternoon, but I had the foresight to bring my laptop. Gotta love being able to work from anywhere.

Notice: No grumbling in this post. Only gratitude.
