Forgotten

Sometimes being forgotten is freeing.
It’s a quiet, calm kind of freedom.

The people, things, systems that forgot you, are no longer the people, things, systems that you care for attention anyway. They are no longer what matters to you. They are no longer taking up space in your mind, heart and soul.

And in that gap comes a silence.
That silence is the reward.

You can be yourself again.
You can do anything again.
You can live any way again.

Nobody cares.

You realised, you missed that voice from inside you.
That voice that knew what to do, but could never get heard amongst the noise.

Now in that silence, you can hear yourself clearly.
All over again.
