Each of us has a personal calling. To her, the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you. - via @michelle__chiu

This spoke to me.

I’ve always known that, acted in accordance to that. And it always worked.

Athletics back in school.
Rock climbing in university.
Travel when I started working.
Social causes for a career pivot.
Making products for indie hacking.

Every time I hone in on something I love and found a way to offer that passion, I act with a firm conviction like the reality doesn’t matter. I don’t even need to distort reality. Just 100% intrinsic motivation. I expect things and events to fall into place… and it does. Some how, some day. It’s hard to explain how this feels.

Have you felt it before?

That sense of pragmatic optimism. Not naive and idealist like when I’m daydreaming, but just matter-of-fact.

And that’s something I feel I’m missing these days.

When you feel lost and adrift when it comes to direction, there’s no conviction behind every task, tweet and thought. Everything just scattered away in the wind.

That’s what I want to get back to. And something I can’t just think my way back into.

I have to act my way—even in the tiniest ways—back into it.
