Getting good

It’s a nice feeling getting good something.
It’s been five months since I got my driving license. Every Sunday I push myself to drive somewhere out of my comfort zone and to do it safely.
Glad to report, I’m getting the hang of it.
Driving in the rainstorm, done.
Doing 90km/h on expressways, done.
Driving in jams due to accidents, done.
Driving blind after missing a turn, done.
I was never interested in driving nor owning a car.
But I was always interested in growth and getting good. At anything.
Maybe I’ll never look at driving and owning a car the same way my peers do. Status. Mobility. Luxury. Self-esteem.
But maybe I can find an angle where I can start to like it. Maybe getting good at it is good enough, for now.
And after this, maybe campervan road trips overseas. In Japan.
Now that, I can definitely look forward to.

@Winkletter Oh man I was bingeing on that subgenre on youtube. The Japanese youtubers make such good and calm content… very low dopamine but satisfying to watch

Japanese campervans are nice. That’s one of my favorite sub-genres of isekai – in another world with an RV.
