Good old days

“I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.” – Andy, from The Office (US)

Incredible line.

One of the wisest, most poignant TV moments.

I think about this a lot.

And I think when things get hard, you got to think about this line all the more.

When you’re sleep deprived.
When you’ve worked too many late nights in a row.
When you’ve had to work too many early early mornings.
When you tired, but can’t sleep.
When you’re hungry, but eating makes you feel worse.
When you crave calm and quiet, but your house is anything but.
When you want to get out to somewhere—anywhere—but you can’t.

When the present moment is screaming out to you, but you can’t heed it.

All the more, you need to pause, you need to take a deep breath in, and you need to get in touch with your gratitude.

That this is all there is.
The infinite present.

Don’t regret missing out on the good old days.

Live it.
