Guilt-free indie hacking

Maybe I sounded like I was whining a bit when I said I was working 4 jobs, but there’s some good in there too.

I am finally settling into the groove of the packed schedule, after three months.

I’m starting to enjoy having regular time set aside to work on my own products during:

  • early mornings till lunchtime from Mondays to Thursdays
  • full days on Fridays
  • early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays

It almost feels 50:50 where I spend half the time working to feed the family, and the other half on my bigger dreams.

This stability is more than anything I could ask for, considering how things had been for the past five years since pandemic. And the best part?

Guilt-free indie hacking.

Knowing that survival is taken care of, the family won’t go hungry, makes me feel like I can give myself permission to fully indulge in indie hacking. A sense of having space to breathe and be creative and try things and have fun. Gone are the days I kept looking over my shoulder wondering when the next pay day will come and second-guessing myself while I’m hacking away on my products… no wonder I was so ineffective for the past few years!

Grateful grateful grateful for the providence now 🙏

Financial stress tends to crowd out all other thoughts and interests in our minds. It taints everything with worry, making us less able to focus or get creative.

I’m glad you’re in a better place now to be productive. 🥹

Thanks, brother 🙏

Yeah I thought I could block it out, but the financial stress operates at the lizard brain level… can’t be blocked out by mere willpower
