Half a million words

Holy sh!t, after deploying the total word count feature for Lifelog, I realised I recently passed half a million words!
563,154, to be exact.
This nice milestone warrants a celebratory post:
- Even after 500k words, I still struggle on some days. Most days recently. Truth is, input shapes output. When I’m this busy, zero input means almost zero inspiration. Some days I’m trying to squeeze water from rocks. But I keep going. There’s no stopping now.
- But other days, writing to think helps me figure things out when I need to figure things out. Saying it out loud helps me dull the sting of difficult emotions. Writing is my therapist.
- Writing teaches me, again and again. Thank god for the Time Hop feature. I set 4 different time hops, at 1, 2, 3, and 4 years out. Every day I re-discover words I wrote. The most fun ones to read are from 4 years out. Felt like lifetimes ago. I learn new things from old posts.

I like the new feature. Apparently I’m averaging 275 words per day.
