Hands down

I wish I could say I’ve completely resolved the issue with my hands, but it comes and goes. After an over 2-hour ping pong session, my hands end up swollen. It got so bad tonight that I couldn’t even put my Oura ring back on after I charged it. After I wrap up today’s writing, I will do some red light therapy and ice them.

Overall, I’d say my health is improving. I’m moving in the right direction with weight. This is the opposite trend of many people around this time of year. I haven’t had labwork in a bit, but I’ll get fresh results in January and see where I stand. I’ve taken a break from wearing the CGM. Sometimes too much data are counterproductive, especially for a personality like mine.

I am at peace with the slow and steady strategy. I’ve made drastic changes previously, and I saw results, but they did not last. I’m actually living the lifestyle I espouse in Be Wellthy. I don’t feel like I’m deprived; I’m actually working with my body. It also helps to see results, however small, for encouragement.

Agree. Key to longevity is longevity of health practices!

Oh Brandon - I developed frozen shoulders thanks to ping pong. As much as I love that game, it is not worth it. The intense repetitive motion makes is a high candidate for inflammation and injury for people like me. I have retired my racquet for sometime now.

I’ve had frozen shoulder once, not from ping pong. It is most definitely not fun. Thankfully, my shoulders have been fine. It’s my hands and my right elbow starting to feel it. But this is one form of exercise I truly enjoy and not ready to give it up.
