No matter how fun travel is, there’s nothing like the softness of one’s own bed back at home.

Certain things, the body remembers it—desires it—like a phantom limb.

The warm shower that’s just right, that wraps you like a cocoon.
The safe, cosy, comfort of my bed.
The familiar delight of typing on my mechanical keyboard.
The pleasant posture from my office chair.
The muscle memory of making my bed.
The ease of things with arm’s reach.
The convenience of an optimized life.

The sense of soothing safety.
The feeling of cosy comfort.
The delight of being snuggled.
In familiar things, habitual routines.

Of simply being at home.
