I accept

I’ve been using this two words as a sort of mindfulness practice, to better manage my stress.
Stress from juggling 4 jobs every day.
Stress from sleep lack.
Stress from zero me time.
Stress from thinking of money.
Stress from having to be present.
Stress from caring for everyone else.
Stress from no time for my products.
Stress from falling behind on my goals.
Anytime I find myself feeling torn between two things, trying hard but hammering myself and complaining for not being able to do well in one or the other thing at different points in time (it flips flops), I’d say “I accept”.
I accept that sometimes I got to sacrifice being a present dad in order to push hard for my ambitions.
I accept that I can’t do everything well when I need to be a present dad and play with my son, or be a loving husband and hang out with my wife.
I accept that I’m have to trade off some sleep for more time for indie hacking in the early morning.
I accept that sometimes work needs to take a back seat because the body simply screams for rest.
I accept that I got to do 4 jobs now and have zero bandwidth for nothing else, just so I can feed my family.
I accept that my family can get by with me earning less.
I accept that I will take longer to get to my indie hacking goals because I’m split working 4 jobs.
I accept that I don’t give 110% for my other jobs and give more special attention to my personal goals.
I accept that I can never be on top of everything perfectly, and it’s fine as long as I’m trying.
I accept that, even while I work hard to change this unsavoury situation for the better moving forward, it is what it is at this present moment, and the best I can do in this moment is to let go and accept it for what it is.
I accept that I accept.

i accept that you accept!
@haideralmosawi Yes, powerful but hard mantra to practise to. Fighting against reality is like the most human thing
@knight I accept that you accept that I accept! 😆

It’s a powerful mantra. I believe it should be the foundation to how we engage with reality because we can’t fight with reality and expect to win. The status quo, which masquerades as the only possible reality, should be fought and can most certainly be defeated. ⚔️
