I am not who I think I am (apparently)

I just spent almost six hours in an incredible meeting with Jim, a certified iridologist. For those who are unfamiliar, and that was me up until a couple of weeks ago, an iridologist studies the patterns in the iris (colored part of the eye). I was blown away by everything Jim told me just from studying my eyes. Curiously, none of the information was related to my biology. His specialty is trauma and emotions.

So yah, I've got mommy issues. And apparently, I'm a sensitive soul, but since I was a kid, I have gone inward and leaned into my analytical brain and suppressed emotions. These stuck emotions are what are keeping me stuck now in all areas of my life: personal as well as professional. It's a relief to finally have an answer to the missing piece I have been seeking for a while.

So, now what? Well, he's going to send me some material to read/listen to, and then we're going to start working together on identifying these trapped emotions using breathing techniques and muscle testing. I really don't know what I'm in for, and I'm not exactly thrilled about finally plumbing the depths of what I have left alone, but it is work I must complete to evolve and achieve what I want in this life.
