I started a podcast

So I started a podcast.

Discovered Google’s NotebookLM thanks to @Winkletter and went wild with the AI to generate podcast episodes about my products! Ended up with 4 episodes and starting a podcast on Substack by the end of it all.





NotebookLM is just WILD. Properly mindblown by just how human-like the podcast conversation goes. There’s always 2 hosts (male and female), and the way they banter, ask prompting question, cut each other off, mumble, or vary their pitch and energy is just uncanny. If I didn’t know this was AI, I wouldn’t be able to tell. At all.

I simply needed to paste the URL of a site and it can spin up a 5-10min podcast conversation… about anything! I fed it my LinkedIn profile, and the domains of my Carrd plugins, Lists Kit and Lifelog. And it gets 99% of the facts right.

What’s 10x more mindblowing is how it also generated new original insight. It weaved the career transitions I had in my career into a narrative, something I never thought of before, and was pretty convincing!

You know, for me, what’s so inspiring about Leow is how his career path really highlights the power of diverse experiences.

Right. That nonlinear journey.

Exactly. He didn’t follow a conventional path. He wove together all these seemingly unrelated fields. And it’s that unique blend that makes his approach to problem solving so innovative.

Absolutely. And he embodies this powerful combination of strategic thinking, which we see in his military background, with that deep empathy he honed in social work.

Right. That’s evident in everything he does.

It’s about realizing that impact can come in many forms. It’s not always these grand gestures. It’s about identifying a need, no matter how big or small, and using your own unique skills and experiences to create a solution.

I think I should bring it to job interviews next time haha.

It also understood and explained the pros and cons of my products waaay better than I ever did. I felt like the AI actually ‘got it’, way more than I or my customers did! I’m now actually thinking of transcribing the podcasts and using the copy for my landing pages!

Now I want access to the NotebookLM API to build a podcast generation AI SaaS…
