I'm not a smoker, but I'm wearing a nicotine patch

I knew that headline would get your attention.

I watched this interview where Dr. Bryan Ardis shared his views about the origin of Everyone's Favorite Virus™️, the nature of the jabs, and similarities between "COVID-19," "long-haul COVID," and poisoning from snake venom. The talk is called Antidote, and Dr. Ardis's solution is none other than nicotine.

Prior to my experience with biohacking, I did not have a very nuanced view of nicotine. I shared the mainstream view that associates nicotine with cigarettes, therefore, nicotine is addictive and harmful. According to Dr. Ardis, this is yet another example of where the wool has been pulled over our eyes.

First, let's tackle the notion that nicotine is addictive. Apparently, it isn't. Well, then, why is it so hard to quit smoking cigarettes? It's the other chemicals that Big Tobacco put in the cigarettes that caused them to be addictive. We know this from the FOIA requests and the internal documents that exposed the ruse. Here's a better argument: did you know there are many foods that naturally contain nicotine (mostly vegetables)? So, if nicotine were so addictive, why don't we have all kinds of people jonesing for eggplant and tomatoes?

More recently, I've been experimenting with nicotine gum and spray for cognitive enhancement after hearing about the benefits of nicotine from Dave Asprey.

So now to why I'm wearing a nicotine patch. According to Dr. Ardis, every cell in our body has a receptor for the nicotine molecule. The novel coronavirus and certain snake venoms also bind to this same receptor and shut the cells down. This is why there are so many different symptoms. Nicotine has a much higher affinity for the receptor, so getting extra nicotine in the system bumps off the offending particles. This also explains the studies that counterintuitively showed that smokers faired as well, if not better, than non-smokers in COVID-19 outcomes.

I have no idea if the tinnitus is related to my bout with Everyone's Favorite Virus™️, but I thought it was a low-risk experiment to give nicotine a go. The nicotine patches come in 7, 14, and 21 mg. Smokers who are trying to quit smoking start with the highest dose and titrate down. The recommendation for this therapeutic treatment is to wear the lowest-dose patch for six days. Today was day two. So far, I haven't really noticed any difference, but I will take inventory at the end of the experiment.

Crazy that nicotine has these effects! 😯 Must try nicotine gum one day. Maybe it’ll work better than coffee
