June 2024 goals

Oh guess what it’s my birthday month! By tradition, this is supposed to be self-care month where I have no goals, no projects… no nothing. But I rested up quite a bit last month, and bills don’t care about burnout, so I’m ‘breaking’ with tradition this time.

Actually, the deeper intention behind self-care birthday month was always to shine the spotlight on myself for a month, to see what I needed, wanted. It’s just an arbitrary opportunity to reflect and review what’s next in the next birth year. It could be anything I needed - aspirations, desires, dreams, down to practical and functional things. It just happened to be self-care and rest most of the time. But this time, I need to get back up again this time. I want to. Maybe just more slowly, gently. Pacing myself better. Do something I enjoy. Sometimes self-care is not bubble baths, scented candles and chocolate. Sometimes it’s being pragmatic and acting on something that will help turn around your life situation. So in spirit, it’s still keeping to tradition!

So yeah these are my intentions for June:

  • Start slow, start small. Work on something—anything—I enjoy and will have fun with, even if there’s no direct and clear path towards monetization. Gain momentum first. Profit later.
  • Pick something on this list for what I build next, or none at all:
    • Revive Sheet2Bio. Grow through SEO.
    • Build a Carrd FAQs info product, or Carrd AI bot.
    • Micro-SaaSes for SaaS.
    • Add new coaching sprint package to Outsprint, refresh site
    • Build side project ideas SleepHack.Ing Museum.SG, Keyboard.SG, InclusiveDesign.SG, Career Conversation Cards
    • Continue building Carrd plugins. In fact, triple down on building more than 12 this year.
    • Continue growing Lists Kit through SEO and pSEO.
    • A Telegram chat bot using Groq’s Llama3
  • Not push hard too quickly, and learn to work with joy and presence.
  • I can’t take extended breaks but I can be more creative and purposeful with short breaks in between the pockets of time I have.

Most importantly, have some fun with wife and kid with the birthday celebrations!

Onwards.
