Max effort in the effortless

Your first task is to find what feels effortless to you.
Your second task is to put maximum effort into it.
What if I find consistency effortless for me?
Putting maximum effort into consistency doesn’t say very much about the what exactly…
Maybe that’s my main blocker.
I’m good at the process of getting good. but I’m quite agnostoc about the what, the main topic and problem to solve, the job to be done.
Maybe that’s why I jump around different fields and industries, and find it hard to stick to one field.
What can one do in such a scenario?
All that maximum effort but going nowhere.
Or getting somewhere in one direction but can’t stay still in it.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

“Stop with the task lists. Being ‘taken to task’ is not a good thing. Having a list of tasks and putting them in priority order creates overwhelm. Save your effort for activities that matter.” --Jim Muddled

@therealbrandonwilson But how do we keep up with activities to do if we don’t capture them in task lists? 😬
@haideralmosawi Are you unfamiliar with my alter ego, Jim Muddled? He is the anti-James Clear, dispensing confusing productivity advice. 🤣🤣

@therealbrandonwilson KAAAAAAAK! I asked ChatGPT after feeding it the quote: “What does Jim Muddled recommend as an alternative to a task list?” It gave me some generic advice and possible alternatives. I insisted: “NO! I’m interested in what JIM, himself, recommends!” 🤣🤣🤣
This is why I hate advice about “habits of success”, which I think you’ve joked about before. Consistency doesn’t guarantee success. It has to be coupled with finding the right opportunities for success.
