Modern luxury

Luxury used to mean this:

  • Credit card
  • Condomimium or a house
  • Sports cars
  • Flying business class
  • Gold Rolexes
  • Yachts
  • Expensive vacations
  • Michelin star restaurants
  • The latest iPhones

But I think luxury now looks quite different.

Modern luxury is the ability to think clearly, sleep deeply, move slowly, and live quietly in a world designed to prevent all four. - Justin Welsh

As cliche as that sounds, I want it.
The best part: You don’t need to be a millionaire to get that.

Think clearly

  • Meditation
  • Writing
  • No doomscrolling
  • Dumb phones

Sleep deeply

  • Sleep biohacking
  • Supplements
  • Working out in the day
  • Eating well
  • No blue light
  • Good bed
  • Proper AC

Move slowly

  • Mindful walking/eating/working
  • 10k steps in nature
  • Progress at your own pace

Live quietly

  • Blank calendar
  • Silent retreats
  • No online presence

Out with material luxuries.
In with wellbeing luxuries.
