More SEO research needed

Maybe it was premature to try to decide from the little info I had.
Ultimately, what I want to know is… How do I know if I got a chance in this space?
More research needed, compiled from twitter community:
- Look at the websites in the SERPs competing for those keywords. Are the pages well optimised or are they getting lucky?
- Is this a product they’re actively competing for in the SERPs (because then you’re playing catch-up)?
- If they’re well-optimised, look at the rest of the website. Do they have supporting content? How’s the backlink profile? What’s the rest of their marketing like (social, ads, etc)?
- SEO is a competition, so to win you must have higher authority than your competitors for every keyword you are targeting. Look at the SERPs and analyse if it’s feasible to compete with the top 3.
- Check out how many high quality backlinks they have on the specific page, what page they are ranking (home page vs internal pages), etc.
- You will most probably need to create high quality links pointing to your pages in order to rank.
- It would take about 6 months and consistent traffic building and active engaged users to start ranking in top 10.
- Look at what long tail keywords for this look like (longer) and what supporting topics look like for this kw.
- Don’t limit to just KD/search volume, but look at actual quality of the 1st page SERP results.
- It really depends on the top results. Check the type of results first, are they tools, are they blog articles and craft your thing accordingly.
- Also make sure you have good authority too, links from relevant sources that make your site important :)
- Also branding is much more important than ever before in SEO
- KD under 25 is recommended. Remember that KD is relative to your domain authority. Assuming brand new domain it won’t be easy but doable with some effort.
Yeah it’s a tough KD to compete on, but I don’t need to beat them, or get above them in search results. Just whatever that’s enough to get my slice of the pie, to get to $10k-20k MRR. I checked the competitors – annual revenue $120k-$3M.
So it’s possible… right? 🤔🤔🤔

I suspect personal branding

Oh nice! I keep downplaying the importance of a personal brand, even though it can serve me well. 😅

What kind of branding is more important than ever before? Is it owning a unique brand name?
