My brain is drawing a blank

I’m at work, overseeing the supervision of final exams. I’m here to see if there are any issues faced by exam supervisors (devices not working, students needing to go to the bathroom, etc). There was a constant barrage of interruptions and inquiries from faculty members and students passing by my office while I was trying to get some work done that I feel like my brain shut down.

My attention is extremely fragile, it seems, and it’s something I’d like to get better at. I want to know exactly what I want to work on at any time and to be able to slice my tasks down so that I can make a dent in bigger projects without feeling the need to complete the whole project in one go.

How fragile do you feel your attention is? How well do you handle interruptions and distractions?

My attention is great… I was only distracted three times while reading this. 🤣 I find timers are my best aid to help me focus.

@Winkletter Kaaaaaak! Yes! I’m using brain.fm’s interval timer now. I should probably set a timer to figure out what to work on when my brain draws a blank 👍🏻
