My journey to biohacking

I decided it was time for a more personal issue of my newsletter. I have found that some people ask me about how I “got into biohacking” and it was worth telling the story. Some people already know bits and pieces. The history of bad diet, no exercise, and eventual diabetes diagnosis.

Have you ever wondered what happens at the end of some movie with a happy ending? The movie Pretty Woman comes to mind. In the end, the rich guy ends up together with the prostitute. We all like to imagine that they lived happily ever after but that’s a movie and not real life.

I did achieve a level of health where I could truthfully state that I had reversed diabetes. The movie was supposed to end there on a happy note. The problem is that life just keeps going, and I hate to admit that I lapsed back into old habits, put on weight, and my numbers started going in the wrong direction. I guess I’m in a sequel now where it starts out where I’ve faded from glory and have new challenges to overcome. They say most sequels are not as good as the originals, but it’s my life, my story, and my movie and just you watch.

@therealbrandonwilson Terminator 2 was better than the first. I hope your story will be T2! “I’ll be back” (as in the old healthy you)

When I think about sequels that are better than the originals, T2 is definitely at the top of the list!

I know right. In fact that is so entrenched in my head that I can’t think of any other sequel
