New toy

In my quest to continue upping the ante with my brain training, I decided to take the plunge on a new device as a Christmas present to myself. I guess if you have my browsing history on Instagram/Facebook, you would have seen the same ad for the Sens.Ai - a 5-in-1 brain training system. I've had my eye on it for a while, and the $300 Black Friday sale, along with a free annual membership, sweetened the deal.

While I already have several other brain training/meditation-assist devices (BrainTap, Mendi, FocusCalm), none of them have true biofeedback. The Sens.Ai has state-of-the-art biofeedback with advanced light stimulation technology (transcranial photobiomodulation), heart coherence biofeedback, and brain function assessment technology with advanced meditation training options. That's a lot of tech in a home device!

I was particularly intrigued that one of the individuals involved with the company is the former Head of Neuroscience at 40 Years of Zen.

The headset is well-designed, and I just completed my first heart coherence session. It was an interesting experience. I went with eyes closed, but I probably should have picked eyes open so I could see what was going on with the app. There's plenty to learn about this device, and I'm looking forward to getting my brain some exercise.
