Nightmares > dreams

Don’t obsess over that perfect dream, of wanting everything to be perfect, to turn out perfectly.

Truth is, if the experience of chasing and owning the dream isn’t at least somewhat chaotic, painful, sweaty, difficult, then something’s wrong. You might actually be asleep. Dreams are only perfect when you’re asleep. When dreams come into contact with real life, with reality… expect friction. There’s no perfection to be found there. But it is exactly in this imperfection that the path to your dream is the right one.

It’s in this imperfection that makes the dream a dream. That makes it sweet. Worthwhile. Purposeful.

Don’t stop dreaming, yes.

But if it’s closer to a nightmare when chasing it, you’re right on course.

Because nothing important in life can be gotten without struggle.
