No-stack

Remember the good old days when devs get all tribal and argue over which tech stack is better?
Java vs Javascript
React vs Vue
Next vs Nuxt
Postgres vs MongoDB
Ad infinitum, ad nauseam
Maybe in a few years, that will all disappear.
We’ll all just use whatever AI uses or recommends, to help us build whatever we want.
Tech stack choices was only necessary in past because we needed to be super familiar with it in order to code it ourselves. But now, less and less so… till eventually it hits near zero.
Maybe this is the key to getting past my stuckness. Just use whatever AI uses, whenever. Don’t fixate on it being PHP because fluency with programming languages will only matter less and less, at least for the consumer SaaS level that I’m playing at.
This is where relative inexperience in programming helps. Yeah I kinda consider myself to be that, having learned only some years ago. I’ve not spent years in university or worked years in a tech enterprise with a specific language. No sunk costs bias, no entrenched expectations, not beholden to any language, tool or tech.
Tech agnostic.
Just use whatever that works.
No-stack.
Or stackless.

I’m fine with “no-stack.” It’s better than “NOSQL,” which is one of the most misleading names ever.

@haideralmosawi LOL so true. Now it’s Lovable vs Replit, or Claude Sonnet vs Gemini
@therealbrandonwilson I agree. NoSQL is weird.

The tribal debates will move up a level and argue which AI platform is best. Humans like to argue. 🤣
