Open questions for 2025

Questions I have stepping into the new year of 2026:
Beyond okay: My wife and I have a survive→thrive scale:
$8k → “We survived! *gasp” (survival waterline)
$10k → “We’re okay”
$15k → “We’re comfortable”
$20k → “We’re thriving”
>$20k → “We’re grinning”
Will 2026 be the year going beyond okay to comfortable, or even thriving?
Relocation pains: The hardest work for my big relocation plans will be done this year. Finding a school, a place to stay, visa issues, and most importantly, the scary reveal to parents. Will it go smoothly?
SaaS-y dreams: Last year showed me my constraints for building new SaaS, even with my epic consistency. Four gigs, 12-14h work days, juggling family, kid, elderly parents. I didn’t want to use these as excuses, but the reality is that, I really don’t have the bandwidth last year. Will this year be the same? Will I have time to build a new SaaS? Or should I just not try entirely (and just focus on the current ones I have right now)?
High yield: Lack of time from the previous open question begs this next one… Will I be able to work less to get more time back, while still maintaining the same income? 12-14h work days is keeping me in a caged hamster wheel of constantly trying to play catch up. To even free up a tiny bit of time, I need higher returns from the same time, effort, resources invested.
Health: The health of wife and kid had not been good the past year. There’s always something happening. Will their health improve this year? Will my own be okay too?
Next up: Step right into the stream to see how all these will unfold!

@knight Oh, no no, not yet. Still in SG. Plan is move in July 2027. But most of the prep work needs to happen this year

Wow, bro, so the relocation happened this year? is a confirm gogo thing already?
