#OpenToMRR

Here’s a wild experiment I’m trying:

The key to a successful product is to have fun, not be serious.
And to ignore any goals, targets, profit, metric.
Follow no rules. No conventions. No hacks.

Just whatever works.
Whatever’s playful.
Whatever’s interesting.

Just PLAY.

Those are the only rules. For me.

So… in that same Loki-esque spirit:

Introducing… #OpenToMRR

Just saying it out loud, what I want, what everybody wants.

In classic Stripe brand colours at that.
No reason why LinkedIn should have all the fun. Twitter can too.

Let’s manifest it, babay!

That pesky letter spacing continues to distract me. It sounds like you are following Step 1 of the formula.

Yeah the letter spacing ain’t perfect for sure. Especially when there’s an “i” it’s super obvious. Gotta fix that soon.

Yes this is step 1. Also plan to take step 2 all the way, see how far the wave brings me. Inwardly, trying to practice step 3 and not expect anything (for the first time, it’s not a life mission)

What does OpenToMRR mean, exactly? Like there is no set definition of how much you want your MRR to be? Why not OpenMRR? Or is it a play on the OpenToWork hashtag, but for indies? Sorry I feel like I’m being slow. 🫣

@haideralmosawi Yes it’s a play on the #OpenToWork LinkedIn badge. I’m an indie hacker trying to build products that have sustainable revenue, so I’m not open to work but open to MRR haha
