Perfect place

Have you ever felt like you wanted to live in a place where no one knows you?
I do.
All the time.
A place where strangers are considerate and kind to one another, but people keep to themselves. And have no expectations for more.
A quiet city perhaps. Big enough that not everyone knows everyone, but small enough to not be crowded.
A town with enough people to not feel creepy, but not too many to see familiar faces all the time.
A neighbourhood where there’s no social pressure to speak, make small talk, or chit chat. Where silence is comfortable, even welcomed.
A home I can live in, without ever leaving, and that doesn’t drive me crazy.
A place I can be together with people, but alone in my solitude.
My perfect place.

This is the whole reason I read isekai stories and cozy fantasy.

@knight hah yes Japan checks off lots of the boxes! I could very well be describing living in a small tier2-3 city in Japan
@Winkletter Oh yes, isekai is interesting. I tend to chance on isekai anime on youtube… what nice book recommendations in that genre?

@jasonleow Here are some isekai books for the solopreneur.
