Phone use

The director at my client is a self-proclaimed "Luddite" who seems perfectly fine going without her phone for days at a time and is proud of it. She said that some weekends she sets her phone down on Friday and doesn't pick it up until Monday, when it's often dead and needs charging. I have been texting my coworker, and he has uncharacteristically not responded. He confessed today that he's been without his phone for two weeks!
The idea of going without a phone for two weeks, much less two days, is anathema to me. Not that I love talking on the phone, but it's a necessary evil for my business. If my iPhone were suddenly out of commission, I could get by with my MacBook, but I would still need to remedy the situation the same day or the next day.
Does this mean I have an addiction to my phone? Perhaps at one time I did. I recognized that the notifications and apps were driving my behavior more than I liked, so I made a conscious effort to distance myself. My Screen Time status shows a daily average of 4h 37m of usage. That seems to be far under the average for most people.
