Producing > consuming

There’s a lot of distraction these days.

I think back at all the businesses I ever started, and the ones from pre social media era had a quality of me figuring out on my own and just making my own path forwards.

Whereas post social media era, especially after I started being active on Twitter, I seem to be making a lot of other people’s mistakes, going in circles, detours and getting stuck and lost.

It’s one thing to say be discerning and filter out the noise, but another to actually do that well. We are after all, memetic creatures.

So maybe I should just spend less time consuming and being influenced, and more time producing and making…
