Product purity

What’s stopping you from making your SaaS like this?
Fun fact: This site diskprices.com makes $5k per month.

There’s something about the simple purity of it…
“This site is designed to maximize information density, accessibility and performance. More whitespace, colors, and icons won’t help.”
Zero aesthetic, pure content. No fancy copywriting and sh*t. No frameworks. No color gradients. Just a <table> element, hook up to Amazon API to a Python backend, a SQLite database and AWS server. Sprinkling of CSS for some spacing. How dare this site provide so much value for its users that nobody complain about the design! In return for such boldness, it goes on to get $5k in affiliate revenue from Amazon.
If this isn’t a backend developer’s product wet dream, I don’t know what is.

[Update:] Found another cool one: screenprices.info. Also just heard from the maker of diskprices that it’s now even higher than $5k/m.

@phaidenbauer Yeah and I think in this case, the simplicity sells to the hardware tech nerds who want info density to compared quickly before buying. Yeah hate those shitty affiliate link blogs… zero value, all exploitation. This at least provides value!

Simplicity still sells, I guess. Also, how many shitty “blogs” and “recommendation” sites are out there that want you to buy through their affiliate link because “XY is the best out of 10”.
When it comes to comparability between products, I would always prefer a real comparison site to those strange blog things that are just there to make money.
