Reducing EMF exposure for better sleep

I’d been trying to reduce my exposure to electromagnetic fields. Allegedly, chronic EMF exposure can lead to fertility issues, oxidative stress, and poor sleep. I’m most interested in the poor sleep part, but of course, any tangential health benefits is also appreciated.
A few glaring things in the house that emits the most EMF:
- Wifi router (including your neighbour’s)
- Smartphones
- Laptop
- Speakers
- Any other wireless/Bluetooth devices like Airpods, smart home devices like TVs, Roomba
For me, the best place to start is my work desk and bedroom, since I spend almost all my time in either every day, and it’s the places with the most electronics. A few things I’m experimenting with:
Replacing wireless electronics with wired ones
- I’d been trying to slowly replace my wireless devices to old school wired ones. My wireless keyboard was first to go. I use my mechanical keyboard now in cable mode than wireless.
- Changing my speakers to wired version.
- I went back to using the default wired Apple ear phones instead of bluetooth wireless ones. Hate the hassle with the wires, but *shrugs
- I use the Apple Trackpad, so am hunting for a third party brand trackpad that’s wired.
- No more wireless mouse.
- Endgame is to be able to switch off Bluetooth on my Macbook Pro for good
Switching off devices when not in use
- I already have a nightly habit of setting my phone in airplane mode when I sleep
- Airplane mode goes up whenever I put my phone in my pockets - no EMFs near my junk
- Xiaomi air purifiers
- trying to do that for wifi routers - will set a smart plug on it to turn off at a set time at night
- I have a Switchbot in my bedroom which emits Bluetooth, which I’m trying to figure out how to reduce it
- smart light bulbs and power plugs - should I switch them off when not in use? Or find ways to reduce EMF?
- default airplane mode for iPad on work space
- what should I do for my smartphone? I can’t switch to default airplane mode all the time as I won’t receive notifications… maybe airplane mode in the morning, then switch to just wifi mode in the day, and only switch on cellular network to check for messages?
- Roombas (those vacuum cleaning robots) aren’t supposed to be switched off. What can I do to reduce EMF from them? Good thing is there’re in the living room away from the study or bedroom.
Adding EMF protection
A few new things to experiment with and consider:
- EMF blockers like a whole house plug?
- a Faraday cage for smartphone when at home?
- EMF clothing?? - expensive
What else can I do, try or buy?
