Released from Twitter search suggestion ban

Okay so I’m finally released from search suggestion ban on Twitter.
Still no idea why it happened. And at this point, I’m tired of the unnecessary drama this is bringing. I don’t really want to care anymore, seriously. It’s nice to know it’s behind me now.
But just for archive, here’s what I did to clean up my account that I suspect had helped with the release:
- Deleted all recent video memes. Thing about memes, you’ll never know which ones might have been problematic or triggering, because what’s offensive in one country might be okay in the rest of the world. I can think of one that could potentially do that, because I learned after tweeting it that the creator of the meme was arrested in his country after making the video. It wasn’t community noted or flagged or anything on Twitter, but who knows, maybe sharing the video might trigger reports of sensitive content from the few who were offended.
- Deleted replies to suspicious accounts or potentially low reputation score accounts. It’s not fair to the smaller accounts, but for clean up I had to do it. Now that I’m back, I can reply a bit more freely again.
- Deleted tweets to keep to just 1-2 per day for the past few weeks, in case I was penalised for tweeting too much. I mostly kept the build in public tweets which had low engagement to start with.
- Removed the
plugins.carrd.co
in my profile name in case the URL is being flagged on the system for not taking users out of the platform. - Added a zero width unicode character to the URLs in my bio so that it doesn’t link out to anything (in case system flagged it for unsecure URLs, as URLs in bio like
golifelog.com
tends to revert to http://) - Competing platforms’ names and URLs. I had a reply tweet to @levelsio that went semi-viral (11k impressions), and it contained a link to Tiktok. So had to bite the bullet to delete it and see if it helps.
- Deleted new followers which are porn/bot accounts, or a combination of new accounts with no profile pic, no posts, had default account handles, no profile bio, or posted suspicious content.
Thankful I’m restored back to normal, but damn good riddance all the drama.

I had to google what the term meant haha. Totally resonate with it. I’m released from one jail but I might be jumping right into another (worse) one. Trying to stay with the insight about unhealthy dependency even while I use Twitter a bit more again. Want it to serve me not slave me.

Welcome back to Twitter existence where today’s word is: Kafkaesque.
