Remembering the indie hacker spirit

Maybe it’s dead now.
Maybe it’s shite now.
Maybe it’s obsolete now.
But this image is what defines indie hacking for me, at the root. At the core. In the soul.

Rough and ready.
Unpolished but real.
And freedom. That freedom…
I remember this feeling was what drew me into indie hacking in the first place.
That sense of adventure.
That open road.
All you need is just a laptop, coffee, and a hunger to create.
No one, no community, no scandal can take this away from me.
Let’s keep going, people.

Yes that’s the dream of course. But I’m willing to tolerate the occasional bug like this for that larger freedom.

I personally don’t see this as freedom. I don’t even want to have bugs to fix. 🤣
I appreciate not being tied to a single place, but my ideal would be making income passively so that I never feel rushed to do anything I’ve not planned to do in my day.
