Restarting fasting & ketovore

My past few months of self-care had become a season of self-indulgence. It’s time to get back on a healthier diet and lose a few pounds.

Gonna restart intermittent fasting (IF) and keto-carnivore, but this time, more progressively:

  1. Month 1: No IF, relaxed ketovore, no rice, no sugar, no fruits
  2. Month 2: IF (skipping breakfast), strict ketovore, 20g carb limit
  3. Month 3: One meal a day, carnivore, 20g carb limit

Then review after three months. If leaner, re-introduce carbs back slowly, and eat whole foods. And always always, practice intuitive eating.

The good thing about this is I’ve been through the whole cycle, so I know what to expect, what to do, and most of all, what pitfalls to look out for. Keto flu, sugar cravings, designing the environment - they’re all coming back to me now.

And the good thing about intuitive eating is: once you got there, it’s like learning how to ride a bicycle - it’s a skill that never leaves you. I just have to listen to the body again, and cut out the junk, get back to the pure.

Onwards.

Comments

Can you rely on intuitive eating BEFORE you cleanse your body of junk? Or is our intuition hijacked until you wean yourself off of junk food?
