Rush rush rush

With vacations, it’s so easy to rush from trying to finish up work to rushing to the airport, then rushing through your itinerary, then rushing to catch the flight back, then rushing to recover from the trip itself.
Rush rush rush.
I can definitely feel it now. Checking off all the rush points on the list as we prepare for our very first overseas trip as a family.
Doesn’t help that I’m not at 100% health-wise, lungs and throat still pulling me down, plus having to finish up all the work (and continue to work some more when I’m there – there’s no rest for the self-employed).
So I find setting the right intentions, writing them down here, now, to be needful. Mandatory, even.
Here goes:
I let go of any expectations of good trip, bad trip, or meh trip.
I showed up for my wife and kid, was 100% with them.
I enjoyed Bali, and soaked it in.
I ate well.
I drank well.
I slept well.
I walked slowly.
I felt well.
I was there there.
And it was good.
