Ruthless

Giving away my time freely in the past felt like purpose.
“I’m helping people!”
“I’m being useful, and needed!”
“I’m making a difference!”
But realising now that this practice made me useful—or used—to others, but not really useful to myself and my aspirations.
Overheard today that successful people protect their time like a vault.
That’s definitely resonating.
Because time is all we have.
Not money.
Not capital.
Not assets.
Everything we have, we used our time, or life, to buy.
Being overly-generous with the one resource you’re so scarce of is poor resource management. It’s bad spending habits. It’s poor return on investment.
Time to be thrifty, indifferent, focused, selective, discerning on where and who I will spend my time on, and no one or nothing else.
Be ruthless with your time.
