Sell the transformation, not the topic

I tend to think of my products being about specific topics. “This email course is about self-love”

But then I struggle to sell my products and wonder why.

The problem is staring me in the face: I’m not connecting my products to what people FEEL, namely the pains they’re currently experiencing and their desired experiences.

It’s one thing to say: “This course will teach you to love yourself” and another to say: “Do you have a voice in your head that’s constantly putting you down? What would life be like without that voice? Not only that: What if you can REPLACE the cruel voice with a loving and supportive voice?”

It seems obvious which one an audience would likely want to buy.

I’ve known this truth for ages but I somehow missed applying it to my own products.

Sell the transformation, not the topic.

How can you apply this to what you’re selling? What transformation can you highlight in your own product?

I would take it a step further: what’s that loving and supportive voice going to do for the customer? A lot of people need it spelled out.
