Silly incident

Yesterday, Steve and I went to a place called Flower Child for dinner. He ordered a salad, and I ordered a steak bowl. We decided to sit outside on the patio because of the great weather. We selected a random table and sat down. The food arrived, and we were enjoying our meal.

Suddenly, Steve exclaimed, "What the heck!" as he lifted up his hand. I saw there was a glob of something on it. We then realized what happened. He was sitting near a pole with a wire directly above his seat. It appears a bird decided it was the perfect time to let loose right on his hand with a splattering in his salad. We couldn't believe it. He quickly went to the restroom to wash off, and then took his salad inside to explain what happened. They were gracious enough to make another salad for him.

He considered himself lucky that it wasn't a direct bomb into his salad, where he may not have even noticed it until it was too late.

I keep laughing at this strange occurrence. Undeterred, Steve insisted on visiting the Riparian Preserve today to face more birds. This will forever be the memory associated with Flower Child.

That’s the problem with nature. It has animals and insects that don’t behave the way we want them to. 😂
