And Yusef Dikec is going crazy viral. Before this, no one knew air pistol was an Olympic sport. Now we do.

But I think what makes him special is his vibe, his final boss energy. He looked like he just walked in from the street and started shooting at the competition just for kicks. And won an Olympic silver. He looks nothing like an Olympic athlete - 51 years old, silver haired, as a bit of a dad bod and belly. Uses no fancy gear that his other shooting peers use, just rudimentary ear plugs and his normal glasses. Shoots with both eyes opened, the other hand in his pocket. If looking normie was badass, he would totally be it!

I think that’s why he went viral. Because he’s sooo relatable. And in that relatableness, inspiring.

We could be him.
We all want to be him.

• Raw PHP, HTML, CSS,
• Plain JavaScript, no frameworks/libraries,
• SQLite db on Apache,
• Notepadd++ as IDE,
• Single index.php file,
• No Github / Git, saves files in local,
• FTPs to prod using Filezilla on Fridays 4.59pm

Totally biased take of course, but that’s exactly the tech stack I want (but okay, except the Notepad++ part).
