Slowing down to speed up

OK, yesterday I tried keybr.com and it’s proven to be my favorite website to improving my typing speed. It provides words that repeat certain letters to determine whether the user has any challenges with a letter before moving its focus on the next letter. I suspect the letters are sequenced by frequency in the English language. I don’t recall if that was mentioned in the explanation of how the site works or not, but that’s what I can gather from the sequence of letters.
I’m at the last letters of the alphabet (Z V Q X J). I struggled with P because I noticed that I use a suboptimal finger to type it. The same with the letter U (I use my middle finger instead of my index finger). Trying to fix my habit of using the wrong finger led to a slow down in my typing. But the more I practice using the right finger for each letter the more I type faster.
Sometimes we need to slow down to speed up. Transitioning from one habit to another can reduce our performance initially. But once we master the new habit we can ramp up our performance.
What good habit are you practicing that’s getting in the way of a great habit?

@therealbrandonwilson The goal is to make the pinkie the optimal. I currently use my ring finger for it. I’ll check out Telegram now.
Oh love this! Always wanted to learn how to touch type. Trying it now… I seem to have an issue with i for now

Which finger besides a suboptimal one would you use for P? 😜 Or is the goal to make your pinkie optimal? BTW I sent you my typing result on Telegram because I haven’t figured out how to insert a picture into the comments.
