Speaking products into existence

Today is the last week of the 4-week AI Surfer cohort. Today's topic was vibe coding and micro-apps. I was blown away when the speaker literally spoke a website into existence.

I have a storied history with creating websites going back to the confusion of Wordpress.com vs. Wordpress.org. I never found web design to be easy or satisfying. It was frustrating, and I eventually gave up.

Last year, I did set up a website to help onboard new Vital Health team members. I used the website templates in Go High Level. It was easier than before, but it's still a lot of work. I thought about the countless hours and frustration as AI was able to create a professional working website in less than five minutes.

Many people don't know that my initial major was mathematics with a concentration in computer science. After Fortran, I took a C++ course. This was the mid 90's when Apple was on life support and before the original iMac was released. I was the only student using a Mac with emulation software (CodeWarrior). The professor was so anti-Mac that I was turned completely off to programming. The joke's on him because now I can just speak an app into existence.

It’s getting easier and easier and the result better and better. I tell you what, though, I would love to have your SQL superpowers. I keep avoiding databases out of fear.

With your analytical mind, I’m surprised you’ve held back from exploring SQL. Maybe if I get bored one day, I’ll have my agents create a basic SQL course using a non-domain-specific database.

I did take a database course in college. From what I remember, past the basics it got complicated fast. 🤯
