Spiralling progress

Saw this on socials and felt it’s a good visual about how this indie hacking journey goes

Sometimes it feels like we made so little progress, small Euclidean distances even after months, or years. It feels like we’re moving in circles. Launch a product, it fails. Launch another, makes $10, then fails. Launch a course, makes $100, then fails.

From above, it looks like we’re circling and never getting the bull’s eye.

But if you look to the side, we actually made large geodesic distances. We’re spiralling upwards, not circling around. It’s a whirlwind, a tornado, a hurricane.

I can feel larger spirals incoming.

And not just in indie hacking, but to Life in general.

Onwards.

While the mathematical terms are correct, and it’s a nice sentiment, I think someone created this just to feel better about many failed projects and wasted time and resources. 🤣

Love the analogy!

@therealbrandonwilson Hah could be. Even if it’s to deceive ourselves, if it helps with motivation to keep going, I’ll still say, go ahead. You’ll never know… if you’re just one failed project away from a successful one.

@haideralmosawi 👍👍
