SQL School Summary

Today I sent my summary of the most recent SQL School course that I delivered to my client.

Technically, this is the sixth delivery of the course. I previously ran an alpha course with a couple of close colleagues, then I ran a beta course with fellow consultants. I delivered a more polished version of the course for three different clients, including one previous run for my current client. That's the one that sparked the word of mouth that brought us an SOW to deliver the course officially.

The course involved eight weekly class sessions and an accompanying office hours session the same week. 39 participants enrolled, and 36 completed the course. The average class attendance was 94%.

Regarding the assessments, I had a response rate of 72.2%. The average pre-assessment score was 50% (6 out of 12 questions correct). The average post-assessment score was 83% (9.9 out of 12 questions correct). The average individual improvement from pre- to post-assessment was 81%.

The survey comments were quite glowing:

"Out of all the classes I have taken (in college and online) this was the most helpful training."

"Best SQL class I have ever attended."

"I have never used SQL prior to training and feel confident I can work in it now."

"This class was one of the best training classes I have attended in my 19+ years of working at the company."

"Don't know how you did it, Brandon, but you made learning SQL actually fun!"

All I did was use my training skills and experience to create a course that I wish I had years ago. I am grateful for the opportunity.
