I’ve always likened entrepreneurship to sports.

So broadly speaking, what are these standards in indie hacking, in being a solopreneur?

• Spotting a good opportunity: Trendspotting, SEO research, industry expertise, specific knowledge
• Business model, how it makes a profit
• The discipline of speaking to customers, understanding their needs
• Designing a good customer experience, online and offline
• Developing the right feature set that solves said needs and painpoints
• Marketing and sales, speaking the language of customer’s needs and wants
• Having systems in place to run without you
• Knowing when is good enough for all of the above, strategic incompetence

Do these, and you’re a champ.
