I never thought I’ll say this again… but THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY.

It’s been a looong week.
Every week.
For the past many months.

When I went on my self-employed journey—even more so when I started indie hacking—I thought those four words were behind me, permanently. For all time. Throughout the known universe.

The universe, it seems, have a dark sense of humour.

I imagined myself enjoying every morsel of work, every task no matter how difficult or challenging. No matter how tiring, I would still have fun.

But here’s the funny part – I don’t hate my work for my freelance gigs. People are great. I’m learning new things. I get a sense of pride doing things well. I get paid.

Only thing I can’t say I’m enjoying is the exhaustion from 12-14h work days. I truly struggled. I couldn’t laugh at the dark humour the universe had in mind for me.

But I think I can now. A bit. A wee tiny bit.

Bit by bit.

Like how Dr Who chips away at that impossible 20-feet thick wall of Azbantium, a substance 400 times harder than diamond, over four and a half billion years.

Molecule by molecule.

Only thing I got is the will to keep going.

So I will.
