The big doctor's appt

It's been about a year since my last doctor visit. I quietly quit my last doctor, unlike the doctor before him, whom I fired to his face and had quite the dust-up. I am probably up to double digits in terms of doctors I've seen as an adult, and I'm rolling the dice with another new doctor.

Actually, it's a bit more intentional than a dice roll. I met Dr. Aalia at the Breakthrough in the Desert last month. On a side note, why do female doctors tend to go by "Dr. First Name"? Male doctors generally do not do this. Anyway, I got an IV and had an amazing conversation with her. I decided right then that I would choose to see her at the AW Health Institute, which is about 30 minutes from my house.

Once I got my lab results through Function Health, I scheduled my appointment for today. I had a visit that lasted over two hours, and she was very thorough. We both agreed that the #1 priority right now is metabolic health, in particular lowering insulin and blood glucose. She agreed with all the supplements I'm taking and even suggested I double up on a few. She also added a couple of new ones.

We've got a game plan, and I'm optimistic that she is the right partner to advise me on my health journey.
