The calorie deficit is paying off!

I just completed 5 days of a meal subscription plan. My daily energy expenditure (given my height and weight) is around 3,000 calories. This means to maintain my current weight, I can consume 3,000 calories. More than that, I gain weight. Less than that, I lose weight.
My meal subscription provides 1,500-1,700 calories (between 2 meals and 2 snacks).
1kg (2.2lbs) is about 7,700 calories. In other words: a deficit of 7,700 calories means you lose 1kg (2.2lbs).
My calorie deficit is over 7,700 calories over the week. I’ve been eating healthy for a while, but wasn’t losing much weight. This week I lost over 1kg! (I don’t know why I don’t have my starting weight before the week. I need to get better at tracking my weight! 😑)
What I mentioned is an oversimplification of all that is involved with weight-loss. I’m not taking into account exercise, the likelihood that the 3,000 calorie energy expenditure might be a tad off, insulin resistance/the insulin response to food (my meal subscription is fairly clean, but it’s not low carb or zero sugar), etc.
However, focusing primarily on calories has helped out a lot. Now I want to support my efforts with more movement, resistance training, and better sleep.
I am now at 123.4kg (272lbs). I would love to get to 100kg (220lbs) by the end of summer. That’s 4 months away. I hope that’s a reasonable and achievable target, and I’m excited to achieve it!

Congrats! Glad you pushed past the previous stagnation!

Thanks! I’m now below the weight I reached using Mounjaro (down another 0.6kg/1.32lbs today) 😍
Bravo! Always great to see progress.
