The doctor is (possibly?) in

This morning, my business partner Veronica and I met with the naturopathic doctor. The appointment moved up an hour, so I'm glad we were up early and ready to meet on time. We knew we had limited time, and we made the most of it.

We opened by saying that for this exercise, he's the patient. We added the record into the system and ran the whole-body scan on him that takes less than two minutes. We then proceeded through most of the report data. I say most because the final report is 120+ pages. He was very impressed with the level of detail and analysis. His focus was more clinical, and he was curious about how the results would track with lab work. He is going to get lab work in the next week, so he can compare his results and decide whether he believes this tool is A) accurate and B) something that will add value to his practice.

I didn't push the business side much, but I did show him the potential for retail sales. Most naturopaths use Fullscript, which is an online supplement retailer. He said his margin on the supplements he prescribes is 30%. I told him our product margin starts at 50% and can be as high as 90%. That raised some eyebrows.

The fortune is in the follow-up. It is up to Veronica, with my support, to keep the conversation going to help the doctor reach a decision. Ultimately, we want to get him on board, but I am not attached to any outcome.
