The Genius Network

I was invited to an event last night by a fellow affiliate with Centropix. The event was part of the Phoenix Functional Forum, which caters to health professionals. My buddy Steve and I went despite thinking we were imposters.

The event took place at the local office of The Genius Network. I had never heard of it, but I liked the vibe as soon as we walked into the building. There were lots of motivational signs and books on the walls. I kept seeing pictures or references to someone named Joe Polish. That name sounded vaguely familiar. Apparently, Joe is some marketing guru, and The Genius Network is a who's who of entrepreneurs who have no problems dropping $25K to join the network.

Only a handful of people attended the event, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The speaker is an entrepreneur who founded the Optimyze Wellness Center, which has several locations in the Valley. He has an interesting back story and was very knowledgeable about breathing (he's a Wim Hof-certified instructor), sauna, cold therapy, and many other modalities. Optimyze looks like it takes what the Wellness Bar is doing and bumps it up a few notches. I may just have to take him up on his offer for a free visit.

Last night, I had a fleeting moment where I fantasized about quitting my job and jumping into the unknown.
