The Gilbert Expo

Today, I attended a Health and Wellness Expo in Gilbert. For once, I didn't have to drive across town; it was five minutes away from my house. I didn't know what to expect because even though I signed up for a health and wellness expo, the reminder emails referenced a "women's expo" and "home and garden show." It's a free event, if that tells you the caliber of the event.
The expo was set up in one giant ballroom of the Hilton Doubletree hotel. The vendors were randomly distributed throughout the room. You had window installation right next to a health coach right next to a self-defense expert selling stun guns. It wouldn't be my way of organizing an event, but they had quite a turnout of people.
My intention was to meet some great connections, and I did. I met a health coach named Shelley, with whom I scheduled a meeting on Monday to perform a NeuralChek scan. I think she might be a great partner for collaboration. On the fly, I came up with an analogy for how I see my role. I explained that I am a health consultant and not a health coach. She asked what the difference was. I said, I'm kind of like the cool uncle with all the toys and gadgets, and I get someone started on their health journey, then I pass them along to a health coach who acts like mom and dad, keeping them accountable. She got a good chuckle out of that one.
GREAT analogy! 😍
