The habit of inner conversation

I often feel stuck or come across inner resistance. But when I converse with the parts of me holding me back, I realize the resistance could’ve easily been overcome with inner dialogue. I just try to avoid it and go straight to the activity I think I’m supposed to do. But by ignoring the resistance, it tends to grow.

One of the habits I want to cultivate is to encourage more inner dialogue. I don’t want to get stuck in my head. It’s not about overthinking. It’s about having clear goals, knowing what ways will help me make progress towards my goals, and when I’m not inclined to do the things that help me progress, I recognize the inner voice and figure out a way forward.

No overthinking or over-planning or overanalyzing. Inner conversation with the very clear intention to see a path forward towards action.

What’s your inner environment like? Does it feel chatty? Do you engage in intentional inner dialogue to help you get unstuck?
