The obstacle is the way

In most cases, when you tell yourself: “I can’t achieve x because of y”, figuring out how to overcome y becomes the best thing you can do to move forward. This isn’t always the case, to be sure.
Sometimes we obsess over an obstacle, but we can easily make our way around it. The fixation to overcome the obstacle becomes the goal itself, distracting us from the actual destination we want to reach.
It helps to ask yourself: why do I think I can’t achieve the goal I want to achieve?
See what obstacles come up in your mind. Then ask yourself: How can I make my way over (or around) these obstacles towards my goal?
One of my favorite pieces of advice is: Turn your stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
